[ outofthedream: I need to sleep, so y’all get kisses in the morning. I mean it. I want more kisses you assbutts. I’m looking at some of you. With my eyes. Yes. Let me kiss you. Is this creepy yet? Whatever. Goodnight, my Gumdrops. ]
“Shouldbeing the key word,” Arthur mumbled as they continued down the stairs. It wasn’t as easy for him as it usually would have been. He was still significantly weaker than normal, and now a bit dizzy from the drugs the hospital had given him. Honestly, he shouldn’t even be moving. They couldn’t risk being there any longer, though, not when he hadn’t prepared a safety net for them.
Soon they were on the first floor, and the Point sighed in relief. “Where did we park?” he asked as he opened the door, glad to see that no alarms went off as they did so. Not a very secure hospital, then. That was good to know, if he ever need to use the establishment some other time.
Ariadne led him to the car, thankful that there were no tickets, no nurses having a smoke and no patients in the parking lot to notice them. It was a lucky escape, but she didn’t breathe easier until they were on the road, safely away.
“We’re going to have to leave town in a hurry, aren’t we?” The fact she had reached that point in her life felt absolutely absurd. Still, she kept her eyes on the road and her manner as calm as possible.
“How are you feeling? You gave me a pretty good scare, for the record.”

Elias raised his eyebrows and held up the hand not on the cane handle in surrender. ”Hey now, I think there’s been a misunderstanding. My jokes are generally speaking at my own expense. Meaning, that was a tall joke, not a short joke. Meaning, I’m this big Australian thing who should have yelled ‘Timber’ before he hit the deck just now.” As he yammered on, he found that he was almost, almost standing now. Excellent. He was getting better at the picking-himself-up thing.
“Let’s be fair, I’m not sure you had the chance to, it wasn’t exactly a planned fall,” Ariadne said, still trying to help him a little. That was just reflex, she couldn’t help it.
“What department do you work in?”
She'd give her a friendly hug. then offer to go get hammered together st the bar of her choice (while staying sober and only pretending to drink so she can get her home safe at the end of the night)
Leslie puts a hand on Ariadne's shoulder, offers her coffee and debates pulling her into a hug, unsure if that would cross a line. "Hon, are you alright, anything I can do?"
Ariadne wasn’t honestly much of a hugger, but she was grateful someone noticed and didn’t just leave her alone. She wasn’t intentionally seeking sympathy, but right now she needed it.
“… anniversary of my Mother’s death, that’s all. I didn’t realize until just now. I usually remember.”
Lois would probably awkwardly pat Ariadne on the shoulder before calling for Clark so he can hug her and stuff.
[ Awkward SuperHug just made my /night/. Holy crap. ]
If Dean walked in to find Ari crying, he'd pull her close and speak with her softly, working to find out the who and why while comforting her. Then he'd get his ass kicking boots.
[ Oh Dean. *hugs tight* ]
“Send Me How Your Muse Would React if He/She Walked in to Find My Muse Crying”
Ilona doesn’t know the other woman, hasn’t said two words to her before, but god knows she’s had days where all she’s wanted to do was just fall apart, but there’s always someting that just isn’t going to let that happen.
And she doesn’t know what to say— maybe the woman’s lost someone she loved, maybe she’s just over-tired, maybe maybe maybe, there are too many maybes here.
So she ducks into the corner store, buys a travel pack of kleenex and a bottle of water and a bag of candied ginger, goes over to the woman, and somewhat awkwardly offers the items to her.
“It may still hurt later, but I hope it won’t hurt as much,” she says.
